Grief-Recovery

Grief is a normal and natural reaction to a loss. To Heal & Remember our loss is our desired outcome. We are not equipped to handle loss. Friends, family, and relatives offer little help. Most suggest we change our schedule, ignore our feelings, tell us to "get over it", and slowly associate less and less with us.

When you see an empty chair in the morning…
Reach out at night, and your loved one is not there…
Find emptiness inside you…
Friends no longer call or invite you…
And continue to have mixed emotions about your loss…

There is hope. The path to recovery can begin immediately, no matter how long ago you suffered the loss. When your heart is broken it takes a heart felt solution. Recovery begins through three steps.

1. Additional memorial (urn placement)
2. Memorial Services
3. Grief Recovery®

Urn placement and or an additional memorial allow the memory of your loved one to live on while the family, friends (and you) associate a permanent place to remember. This is similar to a lasting tribute such as the Vietnam Wall and other monuments. It is important to have a place to come and remember, whether we visit or not. The significance of "letting go" will relieve the emotions inside us that keep you from healing.

A memorial service helps to "recognize the significance" of your loved one. Celebrating a life that has been lived is necessary to acknowledge the importance of your loved one. This is powerful no matter the type of relationship you had with the deceased.

The Grief-recovery small group program at Mariposa Gardens will equip you with the tools to deal with your loss. This is a twelve week program that, combined with step 1 and 2, will immediately begin the process of healing your heart and emotions.

Pre-arranging?

The strongest reasons to prearrange are love and peace of mind. Making the decisions in advance answers the questions: "What would they have wanted, and did I do the right thing?"

When a death occurs in any family or among friends, the grief is tremendous and the healing time very long. Prearrangement will have a positive impact on your family and friends simply because you have made your own decision. This peace of mind provides benefits far beyond the dollars spent.

The fact is you have only two choices.

1. Prearrange your family estate before death enters your home.
2. You can wait until death forces the family to make cemetery and funeral arrangements.

The real question is, 'How do you want to leave your family?'
